What's inside a mezuzah? What should you do if you drop your matzoh ball on the ground? Who's the man we love to boo? The Macaroons address these important questions on their delicious debut album, Let's Go Coconuts.
The Macaroons love big harmonies, irresistible melodies and a guitar-based sound that recalls everything from the Kinks to Queen to the Shins. A spin-off of the critically acclaimed band, The LeeVees, the Macaroons bring the catchy pop-rock with tunes like "Hurry Up And Light The Candle" and "Mezuzah." Super-fun music for the young ones that parents will love too.
Team JDub and the Macaroons are delighted to share the BRAND NEW video for “Billy Bagel” with the world! Once again, The Fantastic Heat Brothers have used their unique illustrations to help bring the Macaroons‘ music to life! Check it out!
Yesterday I was just casually browsing the net, looking around for great Jewish articles, and suddenly I found THIS. Yeah, that’s what you think it is: a 2nd and 3rd grade elementary school class reviewing the Macaroons’ Let’s Go Coconuts!.
It’s pretty much the best review in the universe. You can read the whole thing HERE. Thanks to Washington’s JTNews for making my dreams come true.
In honor of Passover, 4 questions:
Do you love the Macaroons?
Do you like to color?
Are you interested in the personal hygiene of biblical characters?
Have you ever wondered what the Prophet Elijah looks like when he’s looking for a bathroom?
Then printing out THIS coloring sheet is for you!
Matzoh Ball (Don’t Kick It) -
Remember Rocky? Well, imagine that instead of Sylvester Stallone, the iconic movie actually starred a determined little matzoh ball. That’s definitely the best way to describe the brand NEW video for the Macaroons’ “Matzoh Ball (Don’t Kick It)”, which I have included above. Thanks to the Fantastic Heat Brothers for their fantastic animation!
Like what you see? The album, Let’s Go Coconuts!, will be available in-stores April 6th. Can’t wait until then? Get it from the JDub web store!

The Wailing Wall received a great review today on Pitchfork from writer Joshua Klein. In the review Klein writes of “The Low Hanging Fruit” the new album from The Wailing Wall as:
“No Old Country kitsch fest. Rather, Rifkin goes deeper and broader, invoking the Bible as an anchor but opening up beyond the standard Judeo-Christian [...]
